Asheville beer locator for Android Mobile Devices
Scott Hicks over at Wolf Mountain Apps has created a nice-looking brewery locator application for Android-based mobile apps.
The Asheville Breweries application is free and can be found in the Android Market on most Android devices, such as Verizon’s Motorola Droid.
For more info, check out the app’s home page. Thanks for sharing, Scott!

in the year that I have been in Asheville, I have only seen 1 person with an Android device (the G1), so I have the feeling that this may not be very popular. Now if you had an app for my iPhone, then I’d be interested.

I have yet to even play with an Android device… An iPhone version would be great, but iPhone app developers have to pay money to develop for the iPhone, and if you’re developing a free app, then the developer gets a bit ripped off.

Hundreds of people have downloaded the Asheville Breweries Android app so far. I’m glad folks can enjoy it. I also understand that many people have iPhones, so Wolf Mountain Apps plans to also release an iPhone version in February.
